Ernest Spitéri developed the manufacture of the “ES” cells, resuming and improving the loudspeaker principle conceived by the GEGO company, back in 1971. They were marketed from the 1970s to the 1990s.
In 2010, this type of speaker was no longer made by Mr Spitéri.
An unusual turn of events resulted in us meeting and we got on well both from a technical and personal point of view.
Ernest told me about his speakers.
The idea of handing over the concept emerged.
Passing on his work
At the age of 86 Ernest Spitéri found a successor with the technical and personal prerequisites, and had the succession notarized.
In 2012, this deed of succession was notarized and signed.
Every weekend, for 5 years Ernest explained everything to me, working with me and helping me build his speakers. We optimized my cell making technique. I designed new cabinets.
